Introduction

A New Earth

Can you imagine a perfect world? One where everyone is free and happy, and poverty does not exist? Well that’s what the Sunray Project aims to create. If we work together, we can reshape modern society into a New Earth, where all our dreams are fulfilled, and all our troubles are washed away.

1 - The Multiversity

The Multiversity
The Earth is round, atoms are round, why not society too?

Isn’t society really unfair? Some people get paid loads, and some are really poor! We English people have everything, and starving kids in Africa have nothing! It’s like a big pyramid, with a few rich folks at the top, and tons of poor folks at the bottom. How silly. Well how about we change all that? It’s easier than you might think. Remember King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table? No one sat at the head of the table, because all of them were equal. Well, if we make society circular, everyone in the world can be equal too!

Here’s how it’s done. We take all the different kinds of jobs people do, and arrange them neatly into a circle. I thought about this a lot, and discovered that all the jobs in the world can fit neatly into ten subjects. The circular city reminded me of the sun, so I called each of the ten subjects “Rays”:

The 10 Rays (click to clarify)

Here’s a list of what jobs each Ray Covers:

Olympic
Here you can play any sport you want competitively, or be a fitness trainer, coach or teacher.

Rangers
Here you can be a ranger in the woods, a policeman in the streets, or a driver of various vehicles.

Geological
Here you can be a scientist that studies physics, chemistry, geology, geography or astronomy.

Biological
Here you can be a scientist that studies plants and animals, a farmer, a gardener, or a zookeeper.

Medical
Here you can be a doctor, a nurse or a carer.

Engineering
Here you can be a craftsman, a builder, a factory technician, a shopkeeper, an electrician, a plumber or a miner.

Information
Here you can be a website technician, a computer builder, a network technician, a broadcaster, a journalist, a politician, a mathematician, a linguist or a historian.

Theatrical
Here you can be a singer, a dancer, an actor, an artist, an instrumentalist, a music producer, a photographer, a moviemaker, a video game producer, a fashion stylist, a tailor, a set designer, or an interior decorator.

Temple
Here you can be a lawyer, a judge, a philosopher, a psychologist, a holistic healer, an occultist, an astrologer, a monk or a priest.

Catering
Here you can be a cleaner, a hotel keeper, a tour guide, a waiter, a chef, or a complimentary and beauty therapist in a spa.

“But what goes in the middle?” I thought to myself. What is the one thing that was truly equal to every single job. Then I realized, of course, it’s mothers! All the men and women that do all these different jobs, all of them come from a mother! So I made the centre the place where everyone is born and lives with their parents while they are little kids.

The Mothers Garden

You don't just have to look after your own kid there. All mothers will share the care of all the kids between them. Some mums may choose to stay on fulltime, making a lifelong career of helping to raise all the children. There'll be ten playschools in the garden, one for each guild, where the kids can try out all the different activities, and see which ones they like best, before choosing their school around age seven. In the centre of the garden will be a maternity hospital where new babies are born. There'll also be shops, a guard station, and a storehouse for upkeep of the grounds. All mothers, teachers and other workers will be members of the Mothers Guild, and run the garden by way of weekly meetings. Mothers who make lifelong careers of motherhood will be known as grand mothers, and get an extra vote at meetings due to experience. Fathers are welcome to live in the guild while their kids are there. Any men whose passion is to teach or raise little kids can also become lifelong members of the guild, and be known as fathers or grand fathers.

The 7 Rings
Next I divided the city into 7 rings:

The 7 Rings

Now it’s easy to know where we go to school, where we have our fun, and where all our energy comes from.

The Rays and Rings Combined
When we combine the rings and rays, the city looks like this:

The Multiversity (It has 71 Sectors)

Now each Ray has 7 Sectors – a school, a university, a guild, a fun area, a farm area, a factory area, and an electricity generator.

Each Ray has 7 Sectors

The Lifestyle
The whole idea is that everyone in the world gets paid equally, no matter what job they do, so that no one is rich or poor. All housing, clothing and food is free, you don’t even have to work for that. If you do choose to work, you earn credits to spend on fun stuff. From the moment you’re born to the moment you die, you’re free to choose what you want to study, and what jobs you want to do.

The New Earth Government
In the multiversity, we govern ourselves. Every sector has a Town Hall where we can go to weekly meetings about everything in our local area. For larger scale stuff, we can go to the city hall and to summits. We will have governors to take care of the large scale stuff for us, but they won’t have any power. All the power is in the hands of the people. The governors can’t do anything without our consent.

The Multiversity Social Network
We can do all our voting and everything on this network. It’s like Facebook, but it covers all aspects of our lives. All our housing, work, pay, shopping, votes and personal socializing takes place here. It would be easiest if Facebook converts and becomes the MSN. Alternatively, some tech-savvy people can build it from scratch. Then everyone can easily join the cities and guilds they want online, as easy as going on Facebook, and start making the New Earth happen!

Travel
You are free to live wherever you want for free, as long as there’s space. So if your dream university or job is abroad, you can just apply to the city you want online, and if there’s space, move there straight away! Some people like travelling, and in this new social system, they’re free to move from place to place throughout their lives. It’s no problem. Some people prefer to put down roots, and for them all the security of home life they could ever want is given to them for free by society.

Work
You are also free to work where you want, when you want. All you need to do is get a certificate from the university or guild you want, and you can do this at any time of life, as many times as you want, while getting paid for it! Remember, everyone gets paid 1 credit an hour, no matter what job or study program they do. Most of the boring work will be done by machines, leaving us free to do the jobs we most enjoy.

Summary
You do your favourite job for the city, and the city does everything for you. The city is your playground and the world is yours to explore. The path you take through life is up to you.

2 - Building a New Earth

Building a New Earth
So we’ve seen how to reorganize society to make everything fair, but how do we build it? It’s actually quite easy.

Although the new society is shaped like a circle, in reality, our cities don’t have to be. They can be any shape, so we may as well leave them as they are right now. The difference will be in the social system that governs us. We simply need to change it from the modern pyramid shape of inequality, to the new circular shape of equality.

This chapter lists the things we can start doing today to make the new world happen:

1. Create the Multiversity Social Network
The first thing we need to do is create the MSN online. Once this is done, everyone can join the cities and guilds they want online, as easy as joining Facebook!

In fact, why not ask Facebook itself to convert, since we're all already members? We could get a petition going for that

2. Spread the Word
Share the Sunray Project in emails, leaflets and public talks, with everyone. Make as many people, businesses and organizations aware of the project as possible. They too can join their cities and guilds on the MSN, and the global community will grow.

3. Convert Your Local Area
Now you’re on the MSN. You’ve chosen a city where you want to live, and a job you want to do. Online, you are an official member of the New Earth, but in real life you’re still a modern citizen. Now it’s time to start taking all the stuff you own in real life out of the pyramid system, and putting it into the circular system. Any buildings, resources and businesses you own, and any money you have, can be donated to your local multiversity community over time. Keep enough to survive in the modern world, for as long as you need to. Then when your local community is big enough, you’ll be able to give everything to it, and live there free of charge.

A fund will be created online for your city. This will be managed by your local politicians. With the funds, the politicians will oversee the gradual conversion of the local area to the multiversity system.

Send newsletters to local businesses explaining what the sunray project is, and that converting to the multiversity system will help to create world peace. Companies can slowly donate their resources to the community bit by bit, until they become an integral part of the community.

All conversion must be done peacefully, and in harmony with modern society. It is of the utmost importance that we don’t try to coerce, harass or force any person or company to join a multiversity. We want to end all the world’s wars, not start a new one.

The buildings in your local area can keep their original use. So modern schools can become multiversity academies, local factories can become engineering guild ones, churches can become multiversity temples, the police can become the multiversity guard, modern housing can become free housing, and so on.

Your local info guild politicians will make sure that the buildings in your area are used efficiently. Any surplus resources can be donated to neighbouring areas. In the end, everyone in the world from Africa to China and India to America will have the same amount of stuff, and we’ll all be free to live and travel anywhere we want, without worrying about money or war.

When electricity companies, water companies, engineers, and so forth, donate some or convert all of their services, the cities will start to function independently of modern society.

At this point, you can leave your old job and live permanently in the multiversity, earning credits instead of cash.

4. Global Conversion
As the word spreads and more local areas convert, we’ll eventually reach a point where more than half of the world lives in a multiversity, and the new social system will become the main one.

5. Military Disarmament
Before everyone converts to the multiversity system, modern militaries, governments and services should all remain intact, to prevent the outbreak of any wars, or the breakdown of social order.

But when we finally reach the point where all the nations in the world have converted, then all the armies in the world can disarm together, at the same time. All the governments and services that still remain outside the multiversity system can be absorbed into it, and voila, we’ll have a new world.

Summary
That’s the whole Sunray Project in a nutshell. If you like what you’ve read, please spread the word! The sooner we get the MSN up and running, the sooner we can all start making the New Earth happen, both online and in real life. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day.
